This is the beer which started it all. Braybrooke Keller Lager is our version of the Franconian Kellerbier, an unfiltered and unpasteurised beer which keeps all of the best flavour while delivering the ultimate lager refreshment.
It’s a proper lager, which means bottom-fermentation, cold storing then maturing over a number of weeks before release. Full flavoured, thanks to our Franconian malt and hops, this is lager as it’s meant to be.
This is the definition of a lager made for drinking. Brewed with the same exacting standards and traditional methods as our Keller Lager, the Session Lager is in effect a mini-Pilsner. It is pale in colour and low in alcohol but still delivers the same delicious flavours and crisp finish that you would expect from a higher abv% version.
We use Franconian Pilsner and Munich malts, Spalt Select and Mandarina Bavaria hops along with our own house yeast to ensure this fresh take on premium lager might just be 3.8% ABV, but it’s 100% Braybrooke.
NEW ZEALAND PILSNER
The kiwi connections are strong at Braybrooke and this is a style of lager we all really enjoy. Bringing citrussy NZ hop aromas and flavours to Braybrooke’s Bavarian structure, the New Zealand Pils takes the Franconian malt and brewing process and adds NZ-grown Motueka hops. Motueka was originally known as the Saaz 2 hop and the resulting lager is a more aromatic and riper take on the classic Czech style - the very best old world / new world combo.
specials & collabs
Keller Lager, Session Lager and NZ Pils are at the core of what we do at Braybrooke - but sometimes we want to cut loose and get our creativity flowing too. We always have one or two specials on the go, often seasonal, and made in small batches with limited availability. Collaboration also floats our boat - there’s nothing better than combining forces with another brewery we love.
